The Paris Wife by Paula McLain

Ever since watching HBO's Hemingway & Gellhorn (IMDB), I have been fascinated by the life of Hemingway. Yes he was a drunk, womanizer, and wildly insane but, that tends to make things more interesting. This is what drew me to The Paris Wife. It has been a bestseller and received astounding reviews. Paula McLain wrote the book based off what she believed would be Hadley Richardson's (Hemingway's first wife) point of view. It is fun, yet heart wrenching. One part  French lovers in a dangerous time, three part boozy nights and champagne showers- flappers enjoyed their liquor. Of course romance and pain. Perhaps, above all else, a love story that was never finished being written. You've lost me? Read for yourself. The Paris Wife
