Memorial Day Weekend - Packing

Always stressful packing for a weekend away no matter where you may be headed. It doesn't help the fact that the weather men - although they try their best- aren't always accurate. Before heading out to The Hamptons for a long weekend, I find myself with a fully packed-to-the-brim weekender full of not just summer clothes, but spring and fall as well. Oh the life of a northeast gal! Here are some suggestions for the weekend if you will be traveling any place north of the Mason-Dixon line.

-Sunblock - always a necessity even if there are clouds- no one likes a lobster).

-White anything/everything/can't have enough- think jeans, shorts, dresses.

-Best bikini or one-piece. It's still chilly out therefore, I don't blame you if you whip out that sexy monokini.

-Festival attire if you're heading to anything remotely like the Boardy Barn or a local dive. 

-Sweaters - it may be the beach, but it certainly comes at a price this time of year.

At the end of the day, think 'Merica! It's one of our fabulous National Holidays and it's time to show that Red, White, and Blue off! Think AmeriCAN! Rock out!
