Great Advice[/caption]Had a blast last week during my travels to LA for an event. My stay at The Chamberlain in West Hollywood was wonderful. Super cute hotel with a great rooftop view of downtown LA. First time in West Hollywood and loved everything from the bungalows lining the streets to the quiet mornings - seriously LA I don't get it. It's 9am and you're still not awake on a weekday?
Eats:
Estérel for "French cuisine and mediterranean accent." So delicious - the Lavender Honey Duck Breast was magnifique ;)
In-N-Out Burger is an obvious choice when in California. As a New Yorker there is a massive lack of this fine cuisine which makes the trip out west that much better. I downed a double cheeseburger, fries, coke and ...yes a chocolate milkshake and I'd do it all over again. I was so excited for my food I completely forgot to take a picture until I had eaten it all. Here's to the next trip!
Drinks:
Riviera 31 was enjoyable for a bit after dinner however, the crowd got weird and needless to say we became adventurous and headed for the streets of LA.
SLS was incredible. I honestly have never seen anything like their dining and bar area. Perhaps it was the alcohol, but from the moment we entered the hotel, there was so much to see we just had to walk around through the entire layout. There's The Bazaar and Tres both by José Andrés and Saam. All distinctively different which makes the tour so much more exciting. I thoroughly enjoyed my bubbly in a red, light-up thrown adjacent to my friend sitting in a completely opposite thrown looking as though it belonged in a hunter's lounge with bull horns and fur- and I loved it!
