Inspiration: 11.18.14 - The InstaQuotes

The InstaQuotes

As females, we have a strong love for inspirational quotes. Don't lie - we all know you have at least 10 saved on your camera roll that you've seen either on some social media network, billboard and/or street art. We see a quote and it automatically becomes a sign - a beacon of hope for what we may be going through during that particular moment. Well, I am one of those chicks - see a quote I like and it goes straight to the camera roll and I'm not afraid to admit it. I've always been one for inspirational quotes. Perhaps the inner athlete in me maintains that connection of locker room pump up speeches - Rocky anyone? FU Stags, can I get an AMEN? - but nonetheless it continues now via social media - Instagram specifically.

Here are a few of the more recent stored quotes i've gathered in the past couple of months...

#girlpower #makemoves Type of quote that says - yea! That's right, just keep swimming..just keep swimming

I believe I've already mentioned my past experiences with controlling the situations in my life... well this is true. Yea I'm up for anything, as long as I plan ahead so there won't be any surprises...

During the times when you need the strength to remember who you are and where you've come from - Iman keeps it real.

Well this is technically not from Instagram but my brother knows me all too well. I am the small population of ladies in New York who not only enjoys eating but looks forward to the next meal every time. Even if I'm already eating at the moment. #Yolo ? #beefy

Then Cara Delevingne gives us this lovely mantra. Something to repeat daily when life is tossing you lemons and there's just no juicer available. This has really been one of my absolute favorites.

Now, I love tattoos. I think although some people may take it too far - to each, their own - I think they're sometimes a beautiful way of expressing oneself. A lot of times we travel down roads that leave us too far from the person we are, that tattoos can help you always remember. Not saying get out there and get tatted, they're not meant for everyone. Lord knows your 80 year old self wont be loving that Tiger across your lower back but hey, at the time you thought you were fierce.

Lastly, again Iman keeps it real. It is all about baby steps and learning who you are and the excitement of who you will become.
