Finally got to visit the new
Yankee Stadium for my first Subway Series game! Had a blast reuniting with old friends and of course, indulging in the local delicacy. Definitely worth going to a game, even if you snag a spot amongst the bleacher creatures.
Before entering the stadium, my friends and I had to visit a few of the local bars to have a few beverages before spending $$$ on a shot of beer. The Dugout and Billy's were the spots of choice and let me tell you, I was not expecting Billy's to be the venue it turned out to be. Dugout is great for typical sports bar with beer and hot dogs. Billy's on the other hand, was a pleasant surprise. Instead of a typical sports/dive bar, it is a giant, factory-styled space, fitted with chandeliers (in a classy way of course). Definitely worth going to Billy's if nothing just to check out the unbelievable space.
