My second year at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park and I did things right. After getting my feet wet last year and taking it all in, I learned quickly the must-haves and dos prior to the event.

A- definitely worth purchasing at least one of the First Ferry Tickets. Although these tickets are double the cost of General Admission, it is worth having someone get over to the park and grabbing a prime spot to set your picnic right in front of the polo pitch.

B- pack snacks and water! I had a lovely selection of fruits for champagne, meats, cheeses and crackers.

C- blankets are essential but chairs and a mini table are just awesome. I didn't bring a set this year but wouldn't be opposed to having one next year.

D- comfy shoes are a necessity as you literally walk 20 minutes. I tell you no lie. Plus after a day of drinking champagne who knows where your liquid courage will take you afterwards.

G.L. Approved: Bubbly

Untitled-1

Welcome to the first of the G.L. Approved series! Whenever there is something that I particularly am drawn to or love, I will seal it with my approval. I know you just care so much about what my thoughts, hopes and dreams are. ;)

Depending where you purchase your fine beverages, the prices vary. Below are my go to of the moment.

1. Cupcake Prosecco  $9 - $12

Great for girls night or with family. Also, great if you get a bit of rosacea or an allergic reaction when drinking. This particular prosecco does NOT have that effect.

2. Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label  $45 - $55

When i'm feeling fancy and want to celebrate.

3. Mionetto Prosecco  $13 - $15

Another great for girls night, pre-game, what have you.

4. Korbel Brut   $10 - $13

More of a champagne i'd bring to dinner with the family. It is a heavier body but gets the job done. I'm partial to the Extra Dry because I like it sweet!

The bubbly, my original love. Well now there is proof this sparkling liquid of joy is good for you! It's true!!!
