If I were a French girl....la la la la la la la la la (Gwen Stefani?) I'd certainly work my way into incorporating each of the 9 essential items featured above, into my wardrobe. Luckily enough, i've had a soft spot for Parisian chic for some time now and have acquired most of them. I love the effortless, "I Woke Up Like This" attitude. It's a natural beauty that I appreciate on any woman. They may take longer than 20 minutes to get ready in the morning to look that way, but the end verdict is so laid-back chic, i'm in love. My second year at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park and I did things right. After getting my feet wet last year and taking it all in, I learned quickly the must-haves and dos prior to the event.

A- definitely worth purchasing at least one of the First Ferry Tickets. Although these tickets are double the cost of General Admission, it is worth having someone get over to the park and grabbing a prime spot to set your picnic right in front of the polo pitch.

B- pack snacks and water! I had a lovely selection of fruits for champagne, meats, cheeses and crackers.

C- blankets are essential but chairs and a mini table are just awesome. I didn't bring a set this year but wouldn't be opposed to having one next year.

D- comfy shoes are a necessity as you literally walk 20 minutes. I tell you no lie. Plus after a day of drinking champagne who knows where your liquid courage will take you afterwards.

Just call me Don Johnson...Miami Vice anyone? With that summer heat rising, there was only one thing to do today. Wear not just anyone white suit, but a Detective Crockett suit.

Don't mind the fact that the photos became brighter as the "photo shoot" progressed. Didn't you hear - the sun never sets on a badass ;)

How awkward are these photos? haha Now let it happen. Up on the roof today in my work attire. A funny play on the term Concrete Jungle because NYC is the concrete jungle and yet i'm wearing animal print on top of concrete, ya dig? No? Too bad. Enjoy it anyways!

One day i'll grow up and buy a real wrap dress from the lady and creator herself, Diane Von Furstenberg ;) Until then, i'll play pretend.
