Put A Little WANG In It

Always chaos when H&M releases a collaborative collection with a highly sought after designer. Today, we jump for joy as Alexander Wang's collection for H&M offers a high-end take on my typical gym day attire, or rather, what I wore to class during Fall Field Hockey season throughout college - minus the scuba dress.

Check out the collection HERE

Bloggers i'm crushing on lately - Le Fashion and Fash n Chips. Le Fashion has been a favorite of mine from the very beginning. Jen is my go to for inspiration from multiple sources, as she is great at pulling the best trends, styles, and home decor.

Fash n Chips is a new love of mine as it is filled with original content. I love looking at how bloggers style their personal wardrobe. I try as best I can to incorporate this content within my own blog however, I know I've been slacking. Hoping to get some more personally styled looks up on the blog soon!

Night At The Ballet

Dress: T.J. Maxx, Shoes: Zara, Ring: David Yurman, Watch: Michael Kors

Believe it or not, I once took ballet and as much as I loved being a "baby duck" or "lady bug" I was never cut out for the elegant dance. I've always loved watching ballet to see the beautiful costumes and am fascinated by the flexibility and strength these dancers have.

Finally, last night I went to Lincoln Center to see The American Ballet perform Swan Lake with my mother dearest. It was absolutely beautiful and I would recommend that everyone A- visit and see a performance at Lincoln Center and B- definitely take in Swan Lake. It is a story we all know whether we've seen the performance or not - perhaps if only for seeing the movie Black Swan?

If I Were A French Girl

If I were a French girl....la la la la la la la la la (Gwen Stefani?) I'd certainly work my way into incorporating each of the 9 essential items featured above, into my wardrobe. Luckily enough, i've had a soft spot for Parisian chic for some time now and have acquired most of them. I love the effortless, "I Woke Up Like This" attitude. It's a natural beauty that I appreciate on any woman. They may take longer than 20 minutes to get ready in the morning to look that way, but the end verdict is so laid-back chic, i'm in love. Get all the details from this article written by Who What Wear.

9 French Girl Essentials - For Much Less

1. Blazer

2. Slim Jeans

3. Lace-up Flats

4. White Blouse

5. Cashmere Sweater

6. Cross Body

7. Black Heels

8. Little Black Dress

9. Leather Jacket

Concrete Jungle

IMG_4603 IMG_4605Dress: TJ Maxx - Maxxinista baby (Similar HERE), Shoes: Zara

How awkward are these photos? haha Now let it happen. Up on the roof today in my work attire. A funny play on the term Concrete Jungle because NYC is the concrete jungle and yet i'm wearing animal print on top of concrete, ya dig? No? Too bad. Enjoy it anyways!

One day i'll grow up and buy a real wrap dress from the lady and creator herself, Diane Von Furstenberg ;) Until then, i'll play pretend.

Super love for my favorite bloggers this week. You can tell everyone is getting excited to whip out their summer wardrobe. Since only moving to the city a few days ago, i've clearly been attracted to anything street/brick related. Just so happens these ladies were in the same mood!

Check them out here:

Day to Night

Work 9-5 and then have to jet to drinks but don't feel what you're wearing is bar chic? Well you failed and should've thought about this before hand. Just kidding -kind of. Who What Wear pulled together some great outfits that are work appropriate (for the snappy casual office) and great for post-work drinks. In most cases, Thursdays and Fridays are your best bet in being able to prepare for some sort of 5:30pm rendezvous. However, there are those other days (Mon-Wed) where a nice stiff beverage will do your soul justice and you just didn't think of it that morning. Try changing your hair do or adding a bold lip once you exit office doors and definitely wear your heels.

A while back, The Glamourai went as far as packing an extra clutch and jewels in her purse in case she decided to leave her things at work and completely throw her inhibitions to the wind. Check out her take on Morning to Night here (can't believe I found the original article).

Sunday's Best

My Sunday Best just for Easter. Had a lovely Linner (Lunch/Dinner) with my parents on the lake closest to my home. It's always nice to spend quality time together and get dressed up. Happy to be wearing white - although my legs were definitely a much lighter color. Sun...keep on shining!

Battery Perks

IMG_3864 IMG_3868 IMG_3870 IMG_3873IMG_3879Varsity Jacket: Forever 21 (Similar), Blouse: H&M, Pants: J.Crew Factory, Booties: Zara (More), Necklace: Forever 21 (This Works)

One of the perks for working in the Financial District is the scenery by the water. Battery Park has come a long way since that ignorant slut of a storm, a.k.a. Sandy. Unfortunately, at the time of this mini photo shoot/coffee run, it was absolutely freezing and the wind was aggressive. Nonetheless, my brave and bold photographer tried a new method of taking pictures....pressing the button down while screaming. I never felt so alive while being photographed. Why was she screaming you ask? Perhaps she was frightened by my incredible silhouette, perhaps out of pure happiness, but my guess - pure pain of the wind biting at her face. Beautiful, I know. Here's to you my friend!
