Just when we think Summer is over between cool temperatures and Starbucks whipping out the Pumpkin Spiced Latte pre - Labor Day Weekend, Mother Nature says hello - take some of this 90° weather! Still, my mind has been prepped for Fall. With the September issues in full swing on newsstands everywhere, i'm 70%/ 30% for Fall. Oopps, I said it. Get excited to transition your wardrobe for a late summer - mid fall temps. Sweaters and shorts to dresses and light jackets. I can taste the cider.... though, Pumpkin Spiced Latte -give me another 10 days and then I'll pick you up.

This collage really makes me smile. On a cloudy and rainy day like today, I can only dream of pretty colors, getaways, and warmer weather. Denim, Denim, Denim, Dun, dun dun... did you hear the theme song in your head? No- it's ok very few people operate on my brain waves. I was clearly thinking of JAWS - duh.

The sunshines in the northeast and everyone's hemlines get a little shorter. We exchange our heavy duty winter coats with a light trench. And we of course, whip out the denim like a redneck picnic in mid-july, blessing the US of A (I love the south, please, I mean you no disrespect - Go 'Merica!)

The above is more or less my shopping list of what needs to be in my closet if it isn't already. Each all with its unique purpose. Jean shorts/Jorts when i'm feeling rowdy. Overalls possibly for a festival or just hangin' with my homies. Boyfriend jeans when I like to say hey, i'm comfy but I like style too. The jean jacket, always a classic staple. Then lastly, i'm really feeing the jean pencil skirt. I haven't worn a jean skirt since high school but I do like the longer look of a pencil skirt. A bit more sophisticated but yet you like to have fun too. Kind of like the tuxedo shirt - Step Brothers anyone?
