Everyone is getting anxious for Memorial Day Weekend as the kick-off to summer officially commences! We cannot rely on the weathermen/women unfortunately and all I can say is keep believing and stay positive. Rain all weekend in the Hamptons? Naahhh. My mind sees sunshine and a perfect 75°. What about you? Ever read The Secret? 

Get your packing, brain juices flowing with some great inspo from Who What Wear. Tomorrow i'll compile a few collages of what i'll be taking away with me for this unpredictable but sure to be epic weekend!

Had such a great time this past weekend running off with le boyfriend to the Hamptons for the day. The warmer weather has woken me up from the winter blues and it was time to getaway from it all and hit the beach.

First up - a little bubbly at my favorite Vineyard on the South Fork - Wölffer Estate Vineyard - at their Wine Stand. It was a gorgeous day and the plate of meats and cheeses hit the spot! We tried their Noblesse Oblige Sparkling Rose 2010 for the first time and were not disappointed. I love how each wine is named after one of their horses.

Afterward, we headed back to Southampton on the hunt for the house from Something's Gotta Give. I'm a huge fan of the movie and it has become a tradition to watch it every year once the summer season begins. Fun fact - the movie only shot scenes with the exterior of the house. All interior shots were actually sets filmed on stage. Nonetheless, the home is absolutely beautiful ...from a distance.

Here are a few snapshots from my brief travels through Paris. There is so much to see and as it was my first visit with only a bit of knowledge of the sexy French language, I felt happily overwhelmed. Tulips and the spring will from now on always make me yearn for Paris and I hope to one day return..and return after that...and forever have an affair with the city of lights.

Ps- don't ask me why tulips considering they are apparently a native of the Mediterranean coasts. You learn something new every day. I suppose the bright colors and pretty flowers make my brain connect to Paris.
