PFW: Runway

[caption id="attachment_486" align="aligncenter" width="625"]Chanel Chanel[/caption]

After recapping the Chanel show, I was in complete and utter awe - Karl did it again. A freaking grocery store. Why hasn't anyone else thought of this? It was absolutely brilliant and if you have the chance - this is definitely worth checking out images. All grocery items were designed with Coco branded corn flakes, bread, and jams. Really unique and I give it two thumbs up Karl! Two for you glenn coco...anyone?

The prep in me covets all from Valentino's show. The color combinations, the collar, and the feminine silhouettes all made me smile.

Steeellllaaaa....how many times do you think she's heard that one before? Such a fun collection and each piece different from the next. That coat is excellent with its fringe. The tie-dye awesome. And that suit makes me want to be a sharp dressed man. I dig it.

Confession - I do own the t-shirt that says "Ain't Laurent, without Yves" BUT I want all you party people out there to understand I LOVE SAINT LAURENT! I really believe in what Hedi Slimane has done for the brand and think this collection is beautiful. Makes me want to be a bad arse, English rocker who popped out of Mick Jaggers womb (Even though this is a French brand). Yes, I said it. I WILL have the pieces that are required to create the last two looks above. They are my absolute favorite. The giant bows, the epic fedora and cape! Screams sexy Red Riding Hood who met a vampire in the early 19th century. In love.

Some of my favorite designers within the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Check out more on their site HERE.

I find it easiest to keep track of my favorite shows through Instagram accounts from bloggers I follow. Blair Eadie, We Wore What, Man Repeller, Something Navy, and The Glamourai to name a few. It's almost like being at the show yourself, minus the chaos and anxiety of getting to your seat pre-show and jetting out post-finale.

Always love Victoria. She as a human is beautiful even if she doesn't smile in photos. Her clothes are beautiful and her handbags even more so.

Really feeling the coats! The grey pant suit is stellar. This black jacket is even better. Reminds me of the highly sought after Acne jackets.

Yes, the same Coach we once knew is no longer. Totally redesigned and amazing. So impressed what the brand has done to step out of their comfort zone and create something new.

And so it began last Thursday - Fashion Week in New York. This was the first year I can say I was actually upset not being able to be a part of the action first hand. I actually felt a wave of sadness roll through me. Funny since I've never been to a show at all.

Many men and women who have been through the circus ring time and time again will tell you it isn't always worth the effort. Perhaps since I'm still so green that I wouldn't care if I had to deal with a few elbows in the face to get a seat to see any of the shows live. Luckily, we live in such a fast paced, tech savvy world that I don't miss out on what is showcased. Whether it's Instagram, Facebook, or blogger sites, everyone gets the first look in their pajamas or while at the office.

Enjoy friends! xx
